Pruning- Pruning should be done in the summer. Since the evergreen naturally grows in a globe form, consider rounding the plant when pruning it. If your shrub is planted in a hedge, consider pruning the evergreen in a rectangular form. Pruning should not exceed the foliage of the plant. If you start to see a woody and bare center, stop pruning.
